17th Century Roman-Style Pistol by Master GBP

An elegant Italian travelling flintlock pistol made for the gentry.

Ours has a beautiful smoothe octagonal to round three stage barrel with profusive scrollwork including foliage and Roman heads. The furniture including butt cap is of engraved brass while the lock is of engraved iron, bearing the maker’s mark “GBP”. The belthook is also iron and the ramrod is of horn-tipped wood.

This pistol would make an excellent addition to the dedicated flintlock collector’s portfolio.
