An Engraved Liege 7mm 6 shot pinfire revolver

A popular 1880’s European pinfire revolver
This pocket-sized pinfire Lefaucheux style revolver was a popular carry in its time. Many were copiously engraved with early double/single actions and the style survived the pinfire era in many European countries.

Ours is a very clean pistol in semi-polished grey metal patina with Liege inspection stamps and proof marks. The frame and cylinder feature acanthus foliate engraving, European walnut grips and foldable trigger, which was preferred for personal carrying. The unfluted six shot cylinder  has a captive ejector rod.

This is a very good example of the late nineteenth century European pinfire pocket pistol style and very worthy of the collector’s portfolio.
